ULEROM

ULEROM SA VASLUI is an entirely private equity-based company, belonging to RACOVA Group since 2003, formerly the oil processing industrial unit founded in Vaslui in 1976. The main activity of the company is producing raw and edible vegetable oils manufacturing out of sunflower, soy and rape seed, as well as biodiesel, and at the moment it is actually the only company in MOLDAVIA specialized in this, and the fourth biggest company in the country, holding over 10% of the national production of raw oil.

The raw material comes 40% from the corporative group’s very production, and the rest by acquisitions from private producers and other companies, both national and imported.

Ulerom The following products result from the production process:
  • - sun-flower, rape and soy refined edible oil, both for national consumption and for export trade, bottled in 1 litre PET, or bulk, on sale under the brands : ULEROM, DORISOL and CANOLA;
  • - biodiesel – which is a fuel used in mixture with diesel or pure, for transportation;
  • - fatty acids, used in the cosmetics industry and for detergents;
  • - Soy and rape technical oil used for chemical industry;
  • - sun-flower, soy and rape fodder meal used as animal fodder;
  • - glycerol used as raw material for obtaining glycerin;


ULEROM SA has gone through a special development and modernization process after the RACOVA corporative group took over the company – as follows:
Ulerom
In 2007 there is inaugurated the biodiesel unit, which is the second biggest factory in the country, a completely automatic unit, the production process being computer-assisted.

The technology is ecological and it uses ionic resins to purify the biodiesel, the end product being a biodiesel complying with the requirements of the EN 14214 European Union standards.

In 2008, there were inaugurated the following units and facilities:
  • - the ‘purging, drying, storing and dressing of oily seed’ unit;
  • - the ‘hulling, preparing, pressing, oil refining’ unit;
  • - the ‘extraction’ unit;
  • - the physical-chemical and biological facility for waste water treatment.

The construction of the biodiesel, of the ‘purging, drying, storing and dressing of oily seed’, ‘hulling, preparing, pressing, oil refining’, and ‘extraction’ units, as well as of the physical-chemical and biological facility for waste water, has made ULEROM SA the most modern and complex oil seed processing company in Romania.
