COMCEREAL / Cattle Farm Tarzii

Located on the national highway DN581 Bucharest – Albita, in Oltenesti, Vaslui County, the cattle farm Tarzii is one of the most modern profile farms in Romania.

A vast rebuilding and modernizing process was initiated in 2006, by adopting the new animal raising technologies in a free stabling system – a process that involved:
  • - the rehabilitation of the existent buildings – Cow stall 1, Cow stall 2, Maternity stable - and equipping them with rest areas, feeding front, rotating brushes, isotherm adaptors, waste evacuation systems, systems for suckling the calves;
  • - the building of a new stable – Cow stall 3 – a new construction on metallic structure, with a capacity of 300 cattle head;
  • - the rehabilitation and resizing of the water supply piping, sewage system and electrical power system;
  • - the building of new objectives – milking room, waste platform, water management unit, silo, hay storage space
  • - providing the milking room with performant equipments and tools produced by Westfalia Surge (leader on the market of such equipments) – parallel system milking room 2 x 10, completely automatized, selection gate, milk storing and cooling tank with a 8000 l capacity
  • - providing the farm with agricultural tools from well known producers such as John Deere, Kuhn, Miro - tractor, technological trailer, waste evacuation trailer, hay gathering rake, hay dissipating rake, mowing machine, front charger, baling press
  • - populating the farm with 600 milking cows of the Holstein Friesen breed, with high genetic and productive potential

The achieved investment led to the optimization of the production system and to the obtaining of raw material milk of a high quality, taking into account both its nutritive qualities and its compliance with the existing sanitary veterinary standards and regulations.

The daily average milk yield is of 27 l per cow head, milk falling into the A quality category.
