In order to obtain cultures of a superior quality and quantity, agriculture is performed by modern and performant production means.
The growing of cereals and industrial plants is performed in 27 vegetal farms which cultivate over 21 600 ha of soil, mainly located within the Vaslui county, but also in neighbouring counties such as Galati, Neamt and Iasi. At the same time with the growing of cereals (wheat, barley and maize), which play the main part in the structure of the cultures, lately, special attention was directed to the growing of technical plants – especially rapeseed and soy, SC COMCEREAL SA Vaslui being one of the largest rapeseed cultivators in the country. Thus, the company owns 18 pivot irrigation systems and 16 tambour irrigation systems, and over 150 pieces of agriculture equipment (tractors and combines), most of them purchased after 2000, many of them of brands such as Landini, McCormick, Laverda or New Holland. The agriculture yield is stored in optimal conditions in the 16 reception bases of the company, having a total capacity of over 250 000 tons. The infrastructure of these reception bases has been modernized by purchasing specific equipment and modern transportation means. |
