SC AGROCOMPLEX SA Barlad is a tradition company in cultivating cereals and technical plants (especially wheat, rapeseed and sunflower), in raising animals as well as in wine production, milling and flour processing.
Agricultural production is obtained in 11 vegetal farms exploiting over 11 500 ha of soil, as well as in a vine farm, spreading over a surface of 100 ha of grape vine. The animal sector represents the business card of the company, by the two cattle farms – Badeana and Pogonesti, with 1 000 cattle head out of which 495 milk cows, the Badeana farm being acknowledged as one of the most modern dairy farms in the country. As a result of the implementing of a vast investments program both in the farm’s infrastructure and in the purchasing of superior genetic material, the Badeana farm is entirely up to the standards of the European Union. Beginning with year 2001, the company enlarged its activity in the field of milling and flour-processing by setting up a wheat mill with a milling capacity of 6 000 tons per year, and a bread factory in the town of Barlad, with a yield of 1 500 tons of bread per year, producing various sorts and specialities of bread, a large part of which are sold through the company’s own shop network. In 2004 was inaugurated the Tutova wine-processing section, with a capacity of 3.000.000 liters, which produces table wines known on the market under the brand name of Colinele Tutovei. The development aims of the company are directed towards the expansion of the cultivated surfaces involved in agriculture, the raising of the number of cattle head and the obtaining of a milk production of a superior quality and quantity. |
